Primer
With the manual fuel pump, gasoline is pumped into the carburetor with a few simple thumb presses. You no longer need to pull the starter cord to get gasoline to the carburetor. There is no risk of overfilling as all excess gasoline flows back into the tank.
Stihl 2-MIX engine
Stihl's two-stroke engine with 2-MIX technology provides high power, good traction and saves up to 20% fuel compared to equivalent Stihl two-stroke engines without 2-MIX technology. Emissions of harmful substances are also significantly reduced by up to 70% and the engine easily meets the requirements of EU II.
Stihl 4-point anti-vibration system
The new generation of Stihl brushcutters has built-in steel springs as anti-vibration elements. These steel springs absorb and reduce the vibrations that occur in the engine and the rotating cutting tool. The handles are almost vibration-free, which provides a very good working environment and makes the machine very easy to drive and control.
Stihl Easy2Start (E)
A spiral spring between the pulley and the crankshaft stores the energy and compensates for the power peaks from the starting pull. The result: you only need half as much force to start the machine and the speed of the starting pressure itself can be reduced by a full two-thirds.
Stihl M-Tronic
Fully electronic ignition timing and fuel metering. The STIHL M-Tronic (M) engine management system provides optimum engine power, constant maximum speed and very good acceleration in all situations. The system also has a memory function, which further improves driving characteristics. Manual carburetor adjustment is a thing of the past.
Large fuel tank
The transparent fuel tank holds a full 0.75 l (FS 240 - 460) or 0.99 l (FS 490/560), which allows for long work shifts without any annoying refueling stops. The fuel level is easy to check because the tank is transparent, which also eliminates unnecessary stops. It is also easy to fill up with new petrol through the generous opening.
Steering wheel
A steering wheel makes work easier and improves ergonomics and is the natural first choice when working over larger areas. With a steering wheel, you can work calmly and methodically in large, swinging movements, from side to side. The steering wheel can also be adjusted to your own needs.
Tool-free steering wheel adjustment
The steering wheel is individually adjustable via a single knob, completely without tools. It can also be folded completely down against the frame tube in the so-called transport position.
Winter mode
A very simple system where the machine can be quickly switched from summer to winter mode. This prevents icing of the carburetor and air filter during the cold season.
